A couple of months ago we started the process of moving our Montreal photo studio in a new location. We found a very nice commercial space right on the Lachine Canal. A freshly renovating old building with a very nice architecture and New York 14.5′ tall spaces. The landlord seemed very friendly and helpful and we made the jump. Moving a studio is not easy specially for professional photographer with a specific set of needs. We are doing a lot of commercial works so we needed tabletop specific condition (high traffic areas, cooking devices etc). Since we also doing head shots and fashion sessions we had to put in place a nice 12′ cyclo. We opted for an infinity corner cyclorama that is very versatile and helps with our object photography needs but also accommodates photo shoots with models or portraits. Building a kitchen space/deposit room is awesome to keep the shooting area clean. We now have a waiting anti-chamber for our clients were you can hang out, read magazines and drink delicious expressos.
